Fallen Patriot Commemoration
This U.S. Flag site and Flag Steward experience is dedicated to this inspirational Patriot:

U.S. Marine Corps Corporal
​Kyle W. Powell of Colorado Springs, CO

Cpl Powell, 21, served as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Pendleton, CA
Killed by enemy fire on Nov. 4, 2006 during combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq

Son of 2 US Army officers, he was born December 14, 1984 at Ft. Carson Army Hospital
Lived in Aurora, CO from 1986 - 96 while attending St. Therese Catholic School and beginning Cub Scouts
1996 - 2003 lived in Colorado Springs while attending Oak Creek Elem, Broadmoor Elem, and Cheyenne Mountain Jr High & HS
Boy Scout Troop 1 - EAGLE SCOUT 
2003 Graduate of Cheyenne Mountain HS
Enlisted in US Marine Corps in 2003 as Combat Engineer
Two deployments prior to last one - first to Kuwait, Bahrain, & Iraq and second to Ramadi, Iraq with 3/7 Marines

We honor and thank U.S. Marine Corps Corporal Powell for defending our freedoms and fighting to liberate the lives of others.
