Inspirational Quotes about SGT Stiles
"He was the first mentor that I had.  He wouldn't sugarcoat anything I asked advice on, no matter how brutal the question or problem I had."
-Army SPC Kenneth Stiles (Step-brother of Jonnie = image below)

After his death, I was at a loss," said Ken. "Nothing I did was filling the mentorship or guidance I was desperately looking for until I started to coach swimming. Still, that wasn't enough. Then I thought the best way to honor him was to enlist into the Army."

Quotes from Legacy.com condolence messages...

SGT Jonnie Stiles would always salute me and render the proper greeting of the day no matter what. What he didn't know is that I was saluting him. I will truly miss my Marine Corps brother and friend but am comforted knowing he will be remembered forever as a Hero of the Louisiana National Guard.
- 1LT Terry Bourgoyne

SGT Stiles was in an aviation class of mine while I attended Metro State in Denver. He had this very calming & caring personality about him. He never missed an opportunity to crack a perfectly timed joke which even had our professor trying not to laugh. It was an honor & privilege to have known him. He truly was the best our country has to offer. I was very in awe of the man I called my friend.  Stiles...I'm so proud you acheived your goal of getting back in. I know you worked tirelessly to do so. It was very difficult to hear when you had fallen but I knew you did so protecting your brothers and our country. I will never forgot our rides home on the lightrail. Thank you for your friendship and guidance. I wear my memory bracelet everday & I'll never forget you brother!
