Army First Lieutenant (1LT) Tyler Brown, an Airborne Ranger, age 26, served as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
with 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division from Camp Hovey, Tongduchon City, Korea
KIA (Killed In Action) September 14, 2004, by small-arms fire in Ramadi, Iraq
We honor and thank US Army First Lieutenant Tyler Brown for defending our freedoms and fighting to liberate the lives of others

Killed, on September 14, 2004, by small arms fire while conducting combat operations in Ramadi, Iraq

Thanks for carrying on your son's legacy so fittingly - with memorial scholarships at Woodward Academy and Georgia Tech's Army ROTC unit. He's a great example for the scholarship recipients to be motivated to emulate. And, I'm an old Jarhead / Marine officer (Univ of Colorado NROTC 1987-91) who loves to run. So, I hope to someday "go fast" ;) on the Tyler Brown Pi Mile trail around Georgia Tech.
