Army Staff Sergeant (SSG) James Moriarty, 27, served as part of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR)
with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Fort Campbell, KY
KIA November 4, 2016, by small-arms fire when his convoy was attacked while entering a Jordanian military base in Jafr, Jordan
His teammates / brother-in-arms, Staff Sergeant Matthew Lewellen and Staff Sergeant Kevin McEnroe, were also shot and killed
We honor and thank US Army Staff Sergeant Moriarty for defending our freedoms and fighting to liberate the lives of others

Jordan, I hope you, your wife, Sarah, and your kids, Kailee and Kayden, find this tribute to be fitting of the hero you are. I sincerely appreciate the sacrifice you made for Our Country. And, despite me bleeding black & gold, I'll raise a beer to toast you when the Cornhuskers play the Buffs at CU this fall. ;) I know you'll be watching and cheering on your Big Red. Rest in Peace.
